2012 Renault Megane - price & spec revealed
Renault has announced UK prices and specifications for the 2012 Renault Megane hatchback, coupe and Sport Tourer. Renault may have slashed its UK offerings, but the perennial Megane soldiers on with a small tidy-up for 2012, new prices and new specifications, with details announced today. The small tweaks across the Megane range are modest and include daytime running LED on the Dynamique and TomTom, tweaked bumpers and new alloys.
The first photo of the baby swoopy-coupe Mercedes CLA45 AMG has been revealed ahead of a New York Auto Show debut in a PS4 Driveclub release. The car that Mercedes hope will give it the edge over BMW and Mercedes in the hot baby premium market – the A45 AMG – has already been revealed, and it looks very promising. But although we’ve got the A45 AMG and all its specs already, we’re yet to see a photo of its swoopy-coupe sibling – the Mercedes CL45 AMG – even though the new CLA range has been revealed.
Audi is bucking the trend among luxury automakers who are churning out hardtop convertibles, as the new A5/S5 cabriolets that will reach these shores in October will be the old-fashioned, soft-top design. While other manufacturers such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus and Volvo, among others, offer folding hard-tops, Audi says the compromise necessary to make room for the top and all its mechanical apparatus makes a soft-top the right choice for a small to mid-size convertible. The soft top is well insulated; even during a steady rain during our first drive of the car, the cabin was relatively quiet.
